An Estates and Probate Attorney II is mid-level attorney with 5+ years' experience practicing law. The successful Attorney II is self-directed and thrives with lots of support and autonomy. The Attorney II generally receive a substantial portion (approximately 75%) of their work through Gravis Law's lead generation and marketing and/or other attorneys in the office. An Attorney II is expected to generate a portion (25%) of their own billable work and attend four events per quarter. Attorneys have access to coaching and support services for business development and networking. The Firm prioritizes a work-life integration, a collaborative culture, and a competitive compensation & incentive structure that is unique to the industry.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise clients on comprehensive estate planning, including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related instruments tailored to each family's needs.Manage all aspects of probate administration: file petitions, gather and value assets, address debts/creditors, and coordinate distributions.Work closely and directly with clients and their families, providing guidance with compassion and discretion throughout the probate or trust administration process.Address contested estate matters, provide courtroom representation in conflicts, and mediate sensitive disputes as needed.Prepare detailed legal instruments, client correspondence, and court submissions, maintaining accuracy and ethical standards.Guide fiduciaries (executors, personal representatives, trustees) on their legal duties and support them through regular communication and reporting.Stay current on TX probate statutes, tax implications, and changes in estate law impacting private clients.QualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active Texas bar admission.At least 5 years of experience in estate planning, probate, or trust administration, ideally in a boutique or client-focused setting.Strong knowledge of Texas probate, trust, and estate law; familiarity with fiduciary tax matters is highly valued.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, client empathy, and a commitment to high-quality service.Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships built on trust and responsive service.Preferred AttributesExperience with high-net-worth or multi-generational estate plans.A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with comfort working in a small or close-knit law firm.Interest in community outreach, education, or client workshops is a plus.Personalized work environment with opportunities for ownership of client matters and professional growth.Competitive compensation, health insurance, and generous time-off, tailored to promote wellbeing and work-life balance.High autonomy and meaningful engagement with clients and community.#J-18808-Ljbffr
