Development Pathway to Associate Attorney

This position is structured as a training pathway toward becoming a client-facing Associate Attorney, focused on consulting with clients and designing comprehensive estate plans.

Phase 1: Drafting, Execution & Client Signings

Attorneys master estate planning document structure, execution standards through client meetings, and compassionate communication during emotionally significant moments.

Phase 2: Shadowing & Co-Consulting

Attorneys shadow consultations to learn client goal identification, participate in plan design discussions, and apply trust administration experience to understand family impact.

Phase 3: Client-Facing Associate Attorney

Based on demonstrated readiness, attorneys progress to leading consultation meetings, designing estate plans, guiding families with clarity and confidence, and collaborating with paralegals for execution.

Advancement is deliberate and earned based on competence, consistency, and client care—not tenure alone.

What This Role Is Not

This is not a litigation or high-pressure, sales-driven position. You will not be expected to generate business or advise independently before you are ready.
