Role Description The Esthetician role at Sapphire Salon is a part-time, on-site position based in Waltham, MA. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing professional skin care treatments, such as facials and exfoliation, and providing safe and effective hair removal services. The Esthetician will consult with clients to assess their needs, recommend appropriate services and products, and ensure a positive, comfortable experience throughout each visit. This role also involves maintaining treatment rooms and equipment, following hygiene and safety protocols, and supporting retail sales by educating clients on at-home skin care. The Esthetician will collaborate with salon team members to deliver consistent service quality and contribute to a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in Skin Care and Cosmetology, including facials, basic skin analysis, and related treatments.

• Experience with Hair Removal techniques (e.g., waxing, threading, or sugaring) with attention to safety and client comfort.
• \n
• Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to build rapport, listen to client needs, and provide a respectful, inclusive experience.
• \n
• Ability to support Sales of skin care and beauty products through product knowledge and clear, ethical recommendations.
• \n
• Valid esthetician or cosmetology license in the state of Massachusetts, or eligibility to obtain one prior to start date.

• Knowledge of sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards in a salon or spa environment.
• \n
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team in a busy on-site setting.

• Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

• Previous salon, spa, or beauty industry experience is preferred but not required.
