Estimating Internship (Summer 2027)

Description

Leopardo is looking for individuals passionate about construction, to join our team for summer 2027. This internship will be focused in the estimating department.ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:

Assist and support Estimating in planning, directing and coordinating designated project activities to ensure all goals and objectives are met. The Estimating Intern will participate in Leopardo’s intern training program, which encompasses operational, administrative, and sales and marketing activities.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

The following duties and responsibilities are essential in the daily execution of the position:

Estimating Support – responsible to assist estimating staff to:

• Review bid documents to create quantity take-offs; develop RFI’s as required.  
• Participate in jobsite walkthroughs to verify actual field conditions.
• Develop a list of qualified subcontract bidders using Building Connected to attain the per trade requirements. Communicate with subcontract bidders to increase coverage if necessary.
• Receive and analyze Subcontractor bids as they relate to drawings, specifications and scope of work using bid day form.
