Transition Your Military Leadership Into a Career Building America's Critical Infrastructure

Your military service has prepared you to lead, solve problems, adapt, and accomplish missions under demanding conditions. General Mechanical Services (GMS) is seeking active-duty military service members approved to participate in the Department of War (DoW) SkillBridge Program. This structured apprenticeship is designed to help transitioning service members gain meaningful commercial construction experience while preparing for a successful civilian career in commercial mechanical estimating and construction operations.

Program Highlights

• Structured apprenticeship with experienced estimators and project managers
• Weekly learning objectives and mentor-guided development
• Commercial estimating, takeoffs, bid preparation, scheduling, and project coordination
• Exposure to commercial and industrial MEP construction
• Leadership coaching and career transition support
• Potential consideration for full-time employment upon successful completion

Eligibility

This opportunity is exclusively available to active-duty members of the United States Armed Forces who have been approved by their Command to participate in the Department of War SkillBridge Program.
