You will play a critical role in accurately forecasting project costs and preparing detailed bids for construction projects. Focusing on ensuring the successful financial planning of construction initiatives.

They true have dove head first into a work-life balance, taking on enough work so everyone is busy but not too much that you need to work insane hours. They have a 4-day work week and a 3-day-a-week remote schedule, work 32 hours and get paid for 40.

Description

• Prepare detailed conceptual and hard-bid estimates for multifamily construction projects.
• Review project plans, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate labor, material, subcontractor, and equipment pricing.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals.
• Identify scope gaps, inconsistencies, risks, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Work with Project Managers and field teams to ensure estimates align with project execution requirements.
• Maintain estimating databases, historical cost information, and subcontractor/vendor relationships.
• Assist with bid strategy, value engineering, and preconstruction planning.
• Participate in project handoff meetings and provide estimating insight throughout the transition from preconstruction to operations.

Profile

• Experience estimating multifamily construction projects.
• Strong understanding of multifamily construction methods, materials, sequencing, and costs.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and civil drawings.
• Strong quantity takeoff and cost-estimating skills.
• Experience soliciting, leveling, and negotiating subcontractor bids.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, scopes, and specifications.
• Proficiency with estimating and construction management software.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
