Description

Estimator - Commercial Construction - Charlotte will be responsible for:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to assess scope and requirements.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and solicit subcontractor/vendor pricing.
  • Develop and submit complete bid proposals in response to RFPs and ITBs.
  • Collaborate with preconstruction and project teams to align on scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives.
  • Maintain historical cost data and track market pricing trends.
  • Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings to evaluate project conditions.
  • Monitor bid outcomes and provide follow-up as needed.

Profile

Estimator - Commercial Construction - Charlotte should have:

  • 3+ years of estimating experience in the construction industry, ideally with a commercial general contractor
  • Residential experience is not applicable for this role
  • Experience with negotiated bids preferred
  • 4 year Bachelors degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field of study desired
  • Must have an outstanding business acumen and professional demeanor to manage client relationships
  • Construction software proficiency / general tech savvyness

Job Offer

Estimator - Commercial Construction - Charlotte will receive:

  • Base salary $85K-$110K contingent on experience
  • Annual bonus
