Job TitleEstimatorJob DescriptionPrepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial construction projects ranging from ground-up to interior renovations. Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to develop accurate bid proposals. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids, ensuring scope coverage and competitiveness. Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and executives during preconstruction and bid strategy meetings. Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives without compromising quality or schedule. Manage bid schedules, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects. Maintain historical cost data and build relationships with subcontractors and vendors. Assist with contract negotiations and participate in project handoff meetings post-award.The Successful Applicant3-8+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating with a general contractor. Proven ability to estimate projects in sectors such as retail, office, healthcare, or light industrial. Strong proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar). Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and local market pricing. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines. Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive, solutions focused approach. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).What's on OfferBase Salary: commensurate with experience.
