Estimator Job Description

gpac, a 30+ years recruitment company, is partnered with a well-established company in the Commercial Construction Industry. This company has a great reputation for building high-quality commercial spaces and has an excellent culture of teamwork and professional growth.

We are seeking a Estimator who will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates for projects ranging from small renovations to large commercial construction projects. This is an amazing opportunity for a candidate with experience in estimating, cost analysis, and project management to join a top construction company.

Estimator Responsibilities:

- Develop project cost estimates based on project blueprints, specifications, and scope of work
- Analyze, interpret and calculate all direct and indirect costs related to the project
- Identify and anticipate project risks and profitability opportunities
- Collaborate with the project management and construction teams to ensure estimates reflect project scope accurately
- Maintain communication with project stakeholders throughout the estimating process

Estimator Essential Job Functions:

- Analyze project plans and drawings to identify potential construction issues
- Review and analyze project specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Conduct and/or participate in pre-bid and post-bid meetings
- Create and maintain detailed cost estimates for each project
- Prepare bid packages, including detailed cost breakdowns and supporting documentation

Estimator Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment
- Familiarity with construction software such as On-Screen Takeoff or Bluebeam
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

Salary Range: $85,000 - $130,000 per year depending on experience.

Benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
