Estimator | Commercial Construction | Leesburg, VA

The Estimator | Commercial Construction | Leesburg, VA will:
- Prepare accurate conceptual, schematic, and detailed project estimates.
- Review plans, specifications, and project documents to identify scope requirements and potential risks.
- Perform detailed material quantity take-offs for drywall, flooring, trim, exterior systems, and other building components.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure complete scope coverage.
- Level bids and identify pricing discrepancies, exclusions, and coverage gaps.
- Develop comprehensive trade scopes and bid packages for subcontractor partners.
- Collaborate with project management and executive leadership during budgeting and preconstruction efforts.
- Support design-build projects through all phases of estimating and budget development.
- Assist with value engineering initiatives and cost-saving recommendations.
- Maintain accurate estimating documentation utilizing industry software and best practices.

The Estimator | Commercial Construction | Leesburg, VA will have:
- 5-10 years of construction estimating experience.
- Current experience working as an Estimator for a General Contractor.
- Strong plan reading and specification review capabilities.
- Proven experience performing detailed quantity take-offs and scope development.
- Expertise in leveling subcontractor bids and identifying proposal gaps.
- Experience with schematic and conceptual estimating.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam and BuildingConnected.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with commercial construction projects preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
