    Description

    Teufel Landscape is seeking a motivated Estimator I to join our growing Washington Landscape Construction team in Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in commercial construction estimating while working alongside experienced estimators on high-profile landscape construction projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with preparing bid packages and organizing project documentation
    • Review plans, specifications, addenda, and construction documents
    • Perform quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift software
    • Gather and organize vendor pricing and subcontractor quotes
    • Enter and maintain estimate information in Sage/Timberline
    • Maintain bid records, wage rates, vendor databases, and estimating files
    • Support project turnover documentation for awarded work
    • Verify takeoff quantities and assist with cost analysis
    • Follow company estimating processes, procedures, and standards
    • Maintain confidentiality of company and client information
    • Collaborate with estimators, project teams, and vendors to support successful bids

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • 1–2 years of construction-related experience
    • Ability to read construction plans and specifications
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
    • Ability to communicate effectively in English
    • Willingness to learn estimating software and construction estimating processes
    • Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screen

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in commercial construction, landscape construction, or civil construction
    • Familiarity with PlanSwift, Sage, or Timberline software
    • Coursework or training related to construction management, estimating, or engineering
