Description
The Estimator will report into the Preconstruction Manager and play a key role in securing new work and supporting project success.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for ground-up and renovation projects
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Collaborate with Project Managers and field teams for cost validation
- Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving strategies
- Assist in proposal preparation and client presentations
- Maintain accurate cost databases and historical pricing
Profile
For the Estimator role, we are seeking:
- 3+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, take-offs, and pricing
- Experience with estimating software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred (Construction Management, Engineering, or similar)
