Our client is a leading luxury residential General Contractor specializing in Manhattan's most prestigious interior renovation projects. Their portfolio includes penthouse gut renovations, brownstone restorations, duplex combinations, and custom residences, delivering exceptional craftsmanship and white-glove service to discerning homeowners, architects, and designers.
Job Description
As an Estimator - Construction - Manhattan, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing detailed conceptual and hard-bid estimates
- Analyzing drawings, specifications, and scope documents
- Performing quantity takeoffs and pricing exercises
- Soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and vendor proposals
- Developing budgets during the preconstruction phase
- Estimating custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, metal, and specialty finishes
- Identifying value engineering opportunities
- Assisting with bid packages and subcontractor scope reviews
- Maintaining historical cost databases and estimating tools
- Working closely with Project Managers, architects, and ownership teams
- Preparing change order pricing and cost analyses
- Supporting project handoffs to operations teams

The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have:
- 3+ years of estimating experience within construction
- Experience estimating luxury residential interior renovations
- Proven experience with brownstones, penthouses, duplexes, townhouses, or luxury apartments
- Strong understanding of custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, and specialty finishes
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
- Experience performing detailed takeoffs and cost analyses
- Knowledge of subcontractor pricing and procurement processes
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Procore, Excel, and estimating software
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
