Job Description

The Estimator will be responsible for:

• Preparing accurate conceptual, schematic, and hard-bid estimates for commercial and multifamily construction projects.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and BIM models to complete detailed quantity takeoffs.
• Soliciting, analyzing, and comparing subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure complete scope coverage.
• Developing project budgets, cost breakdowns, and value engineering recommendations.
• Evaluating project risks, constructability challenges, and market factors impacting pricing.
• Supporting the preparation of proposals, bid packages, pricing exhibits, and scope clarifications.
• Partnering with project management and operations teams to ensure a seamless transition from preconstruction to execution.
• Maintaining historical cost data and updating estimating systems to improve future bid accuracy.
• Contributing to strategic planning by identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to support successful project pursuits and client relationships.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Estimator should have:

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience.
• Experience estimating commercial interior, multifamily, or general contracting projects.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and quantity takeoffs.
• Proficiency with BuildingConnected, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing effectively.
• Knowledge of budgeting, value engineering, and cost management principles.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with preconstruction, project management, and field teams.
• Detail-oriented professional capable of managing multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
