We are seeking a skilled Building and Construction Estimator to join a growing construction team in Exton, PA. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive project estimates, supporting preconstruction efforts, and collaborating with project teams to secure and successfully launch construction projects.

Description

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Develop conceptual budgets and detailed bid packages.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Participate in preconstruction meetings, site visits, and bid reviews.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Operations teams to ensure successful project handoff.
• Maintain current pricing databases and estimating records.
• Review contracts, drawings, and specifications to identify project risks and opportunities.
• Assist with proposal preparation and bid submissions.

Profile

A successful Building and Construction Estimator should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of estimating experience within the construction industry.
• Experience estimating commercial, healthcare, education, multifamily, or industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and project delivery processes.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating, or On-Screen Takeoff.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of budgeting, procurement, and subcontractor management.
