Estimator

Our client is a mechanical contracting company serving the HVAC and plumbing industries, seeking an Estimator to join their team in Fayetteville, NC. This role role covers project bids from initial takeoff through award, working closely with the preconstruction and project management team.

Responsibilities:

- Reviewing project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine scope requirements

- Preparing detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services

- Analyzing and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications

- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project details

- Researching material and equipment costs, ensuring up-to-date pricing

- Evaluating and selecting qualified subcontractors and suppliers



Requirements:

- 1 or more years of experience in estimating, project coordination, or a related mechanical/construction role.

- Working knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems and terminology.

- Solid fundamental understanding of construction estimating processes.

- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and change orders.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Willingness to work on-site at active, occupied job locations as needed.

- Experience with Trimble estimating software preferred.
