For over 25 years Quick Response Fire Protection has proudly provided the design installation maintenance inspections and repairs of fire protection systems within the tri-state area. Along the way Quick Response has grown to become the largest provider of fire protection systems in the state of New Jersey providing fire protection services to all industries and property types.Due to continued growth we are looking for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Estimator to join our team in Freehold NJ. In this role you will be responsible for estimating costs of promotion and sale of fire protection systems and products to developers contractors and end users.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare estimates and bid proposals based on evaluation of construction documentsPerform preliminary survey of existing buildings to determine costs associated with the installation of fire protection servicesApplying knowledge of NFPA standards to analyze hazards and identify appropriate design approachReading and comprehending plans and specificationsPreparing detailed cost estimates including design materials fabrication equipment permits subcontracts and installation labor for both union and open shop projectsMeeting with contractors and subcontractors on site to review site conditions and discuss bid scope when necessaryOther related duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSGood communication skills both oral and written when working with all levels of management and employees clients external vendors and other business associates. Clearly communicates directions and information. Speaks effectively before groups as well as individuals. Must have good interpersonal skills. Cognitive discipline.Microsoft Office Suite any hydraulic calculation programAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions percentages area circumference and volume.
