Estimator - Fixtures/Metal Fabrication

Duties:

• Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for display/interior design projects.
• Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine scope of work and required materials
• Collaborate with multiple departments, including sales, engineering, operations, and project management.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and departments to close gaps of information and determine project timelines.
• Consult and make recommendations to source alternate materials or process to maximize profitability and reduce project costs.
• Ensure all project actors are educated on all elements of a project are captured and costs are included and final.
• Produce accurate project documents and RFQs prior to sending job estimates to the sales team.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of project estimating principles and techniques within the fixture/display industry
• Familiarity with project management processes
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations
• Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and other technical documents
• Strong negotiation skills to obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with project teams, clients, and stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
