OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring that our projects are completed within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.

Duties

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on project plans, specifications, and site conditions.
• Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create and manage estimates effectively.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
• Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
• Monitor cost control throughout the project lifecycle to identify potential budget overruns or savings opportunities.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data for accurate estimating.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and changes for future reference.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
• Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in using estimating software such as HeavyBid or similar tools.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with contractors and suppliers.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in cost analysis and reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of construction site operations and safety regulations is preferred.
