About the job Estimator (Heavy Civil)
Position Description
The Company is looking for experienced and detail-oriented Estimators with a background in heavy civil, road, and site work construction. Our Estimators have the responsibility for estimating and biddingon multiple construction projects, comprehensively from concept to completion.
ESTIMATOR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a clear understanding of project plans, specifications, and requirements
- Organize and produce accurate and detailed estimates
- Develop project work plans and construction schedules
- Visit projects to identify and gain a clear understanding of the site
- Assess construction risks and analyze cost impacts
- Identify and articulate value-engineering alternatives
ESTIMATOR QUALIFICATIONS- A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
- Experience in public and private markets
- Self-motivated yet able to work in a collaborative atmosphere
- Critical thinking and decision making skills
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Ability to prioritize work and manage time
- Capable of establishing stakeholder relationships
- Experience using HCSS Heavy Bid, Agtek, Microsoft Project, and Primavera
