Job Details

We are seeking a skilled Estimator who will play a key role in the pre-construction process, helping this company deliver accurate, competitive, and profitable bids. The ideal candidate will meet the following:

Core Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a construction Estimator or similar role in commercial construction.
  • Strong understanding of estimating principles, construction methods, materials, and costs.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Familiarity with industry estimating software (e.g., Timberline, ProEst, On-Screen Takeoff, etc.).
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Licenses:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AACE, CPE, or equivalent) a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare thorough and accurate cost estimates for proposals and bids.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and scope documents to determine requirements.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to gather pricing and scope input.
  • Review and validate take-offs and cost assumptions to ensure competitive and realistic bids.
  • Support pre-bid meetings and contribute to value engineering and risk assessments.
  • Maintain detailed records of estimates, proposals, and historical cost data.
