Our client is seeking an experienced Estimator Commercial General Construction Renovation Projects to join their team. This full-time, remote role focuses on estimating commercial construction renovation projects. The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial general construction estimating, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to deliver accurate, competitive bids that support our continued nationwide expansion.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial renovation projects.
Review and analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and project scopes.
Solicit, evaluate, and level set subcontractor and vendor bids.
Collaborate with project managers and leadership on bid strategy and project feasibility.
Develop and maintain cost databases, unit price libraries, and historical bid data.
Identify and communicate project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving alternatives.
Coordinate with clients, architects, and engineers during the pre-construction phase.
Track and report on bid outcomes and win/loss ratios to support business development.
Support multiple concurrent bids with varying complexity and deadlines.
Minimum of 8 years' experience in commercial general construction estimating (Required).
Proven track record estimating commercial general renovation projects (Required).
Strong knowledge of commercial construction means, methods, materials, and costs.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, ProEst, PlanSwift, or similar.
Computer skills: MS Outlook, Bluebeam, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Word, Procore, Adobe, among others.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining clear communication with the broader team.
Willingness to travel to project sites across New England as required.
Qualified candidates are required to complete a criminal background check, driving background check and drug testing.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field (Preferred).
OSHA 30 training certification preferred.
Understanding of blueprints, drawings and schematics.
Driver's License (Required).
Annual salary range: $90,000 $135,000, commensurate with experience.
Performance-based paid incentive.
