Estimator - Multifamily Construction - Washington, D.C.

They mostly operate within the multifamily, mixed-use, base-building, office, foundation & structural repair, retail and luxury townhomes sectors.

The Estimator - Multifamily Construction - Washington, D.C. will be responsible for:

  • Prepare detailed conceptual, schematic, and GMP estimates for large commercial and multifamily projects
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and scopes to develop accurate pricing and risk assessments
  • Collaborate with preconstruction, operations, and leadership teams during project planning
  • Develop subcontractor scopes, solicit pricing, and evaluate proposals
  • Participate in value engineering and cost-saving strategies without sacrificing quality
  • Support negotiated work with trusted repeat clients rather than competitive hard bids

A successful Estimator - Multifamily Construction - Washington, D.C. should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5-7+ years of estimating experience with a general contractor or builder-developer
  • Experience estimating projects valued between $30M and $100M+
  • Multifamily estimating experience strongly preferred (commercial experience also considered)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with senior leadership

The Estimator - Multifamily Construction - Washington, D.C. will receive:

  • Competitive base salary - $110,000 to $130,000.
