Civil Estimator | Omaha, NE

Employee-owned civil contractor where you"ll play a key role in projects from bid through construction. You"ll develop estimates, perform takeoffs, evaluate subcontractor pricing, and support project teams throughout execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications to understand project scope
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate cost estimates
• Analyze subcontractor and supplier bids
• Assist with bid preparation and proposal development
• Support project handoff from estimating to operations
• Track project costs, schedules, and quantities during construction
• Collaborate with project managers, field teams, owners, engineers, and contractors
• Identify risks and help drive successful project outcomes

Qualifications

• 5+ years of civil construction, estimating, project engineering, or project management experience
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience with concrete, utilities, grading, earthwork, or site development projects
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Bluebeam and HeavyBid experience preferred
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $50.48/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
