Prepare accurate conceptual, schematic, and detailed cost estimates for commercial, institutional, and government construction projects. Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop comprehensive bid packages. Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier pricing. Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analyses for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted scopes. Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and leadership throughout the preconstruction process. Assist in value engineering exercises and identify cost-saving opportunities. Prepare bid proposals and support project presentations when required. Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting strict bidding deadlines. Support projects ranging from approximately $5M to $20M in value. Contribute to high-profile projects including healthcare, research, military, and institutional facilities throughout Massachusetts.

Experience estimating commercial, institutional, healthcare, federal, or public-sector construction projects. Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and building systems. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Experience working for a general contractor is preferred. Knowledge of mechanical scopes or integrated construction services is a plus.
