This role sits at the front end of every project — identifying opportunities, working directly with customers, and developing accurate, competitive estimates.

You won’t just be pricing jobs — you’ll help shape scope, influence project strategy, and play a key role in winning work.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and wants visibility, ownership, and growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify and pursue new project opportunities; review and analyze bid specifications

    • Develop accurate, competitive estimates including materials, labor, and fabrication costs

    • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and bid documents

    • Build and deliver proposals using internal pricing tools

    • Work directly with customers to clarify scope, requirements, and timelines

    • Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and production teams

    • Refine project scope, assist with budgeting, and support contract discussions

    • Manage multiple bids, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously

    • Ensure seamless communication across departments from bid through project handoff

    • Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating and proposal processes

    Qualifications

    • 3–8+ years of estimating experience in:

      • construction

      • fabrication

      • industrial or design-build environments

    • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

    • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and production teams

    • Comfortable in client-facing conversations and scope discussions

    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects

    Nice to Have (Not Required):

    • Experience with metals, structural systems, or marine environments

    • Exposure to custom fabrication or design-build project environments

    • Experience supporting proposals, pricing strategy, or early-stage project development

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Competitive base salary + bonus and incentive opportunities

    • Health, dental, and vision insurance

    • Paid time off

    • Employee referral program

    • Career development opportunities in a growing company

    Why Topper Industries

    • High-impact role tied directly to company growth

    • Hands-on environment with real ownership and autonomy

    • Work on custom, non-repeat projects — no “cookie-cutter” estimating

    • Strong visibility with leadership and opportunity for advancement

    Join Topper Industries
