Estimator

Our client is a leading concrete construction firm with offices throughout the southeast. They are searching for an Estimator to join their growing team. The Estimator will play a crucial role in their pre-construction phase by analyzing project specifications, evaluating bid specifications and drawings, and providing accurate cost estimates for concrete construction projects. A successful candidate will collaborate closely with their project management and business development teams to ensure competitive and precise bids, contributing to the overall success of projects.

Job Responsibilities

- Develop comprehensive bid proposals, ensuring alignment with project requirements and specifications

- Preparing bids, works within the company guidelines concerning labor and material cost to maximize profit on projects

- Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and related documents

- Utilize estimating software and industry knowledge to ensure precision in calculations

- Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless transition from estimation to project execution

- Develop lasting relationships with general contractors and responsible exporting requests for bids and quotes





Job Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience

- 3+ years of construction estimating experience

- Experience with estimating tools like PlanSwift, AutoCAD, or Bluebeam preferred.

- Experience with On-Screen Takeoff (OST), and Microsoft Excel required

- Attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
