Company Overview:
We are a leader in residential construction, specializing in high-end custom homes, renovations, and large-scale residential projects. Our reputation for quality and precision has earned us long-term client relationships and a strong presence in the market. We are looking for an experienced Residential Construction Estimator to join our team.


 
Key Responsibilities (Not an all-inclusive description):


·  Review Plans and Specifications


·        Study architectural drawings and project documents to understand the scope of work, materials, and design details.


·  Quantity Takeoffs


·        Measure and calculate the quantities of materials required for the project.


·  Cost Estimating


·        Use vendor quotes and historical costs to prepare detailed cost estimates.


·        Break down costs by trade (framing, electrical, plumbing, finishes, etc.).


·  Bid Preparation


·        Assemble complete bid packages for review with the Project Manager.


·        Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather quotes and ensure competitive pricing.


·  Value Engineering


·        Suggest alternative materials or construction methods that achieve the same design intent at a lower cost or improved efficiency.


·  Budget Management


·        Work with project managers to create and monitor budgets throughout the project lifecycle.


·  Client & Team Coordination


·        Communicate regularly with architects, designers, project managers, and homeowners to clarify project details and ensure estimates reflect real-world conditions.


·  Documentation & Reporting


·        Maintain organized records of bids, revisions, cost breakdowns, and supplier communications for transparency and accountability.


·        Load documentation into Procore software


 


Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience required with knowledge of all aspects of Residential construction preferred. 
  • Knowledge of construction project management software Procore is required. 
  • Working knowledge of programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe and Bluebeam
  • Organizational skills a priority
  • Disciplined work ethic, self-motivated and flexibility in assisting others 
 
Education:
  • High School Graduate
 
A qualified applicant would be a person willing to spend time both in the office and in the field. This is not a remote position.
