Estimator

HumCap is recruiting for a growing industrial distributor who is looking to add an Estimator to their team. This company is known for pairing top-tier products with hands-on customer service, and they're looking to add an Estimator who wants real ownership over how projects get priced and won.

This is a great fit for someone who likes solving puzzles, thrives on detail, and wants a front-row seat to how construction projects come together —without the constant travel or field hours. You'll work closely with the sales team, sharpen your technical knowledge of HVAC equipment, and build a skill set that opens doors across the industry

What You'll Do

• Review plans and specifications to prepare accurate quotes and estimates.
• Analyze construction schedules and technical documents to make sure bids meet project requirements.
• Partner with Outside Sales Engineers on equipment selection and value engineering options.
• Enter customer and product information accurately into company systems.
• Provide pricing and product guidance to internal teams and customers.
• Collaborate daily with teammates and vendors.
• Use computer-based pricing and selection tools to build bids and proposals.
• Handle project-related admin, including order processing and documentation.
• Deliver great customer service while juggling multiple deadlines.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED required;technical/industrial training beyond high school is a plus.
• At least 1 year of related training, education, or experience (any combination works).
• Strong math, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Basic understanding of HVAC mechanical equipment and concepts preferred.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new tools.
• A sharp eye for detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills —you can manage multiple bid deadlines without someone looking over your shoulder.
• Clear, professional communication
• Ability to work onsite in the Irving / Las Colinas office
