Estimator

Suburban Drywall is looking for an insulation estimator that would be responsible for evaluating construction plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for insulation projects. This role involves assessing materials, labor, and equipment needs, collaborating with project managers and clients, and ensuring estimates align with budgets and scheduling.

Responsibilities:

• Understand methods and equipment involved in residential and commercial installs
• must be able to utilize microsoft excel, outlook and plansweift
• Must be able to understand building codes and r-values
• Must be able to read construction documents
• Must be safety-minded at all times/ Attend all safety meetings
• Attend Job site meetings
• Contract negotiation & review
• Estimate residential and commercial projects
• proposal reviews
• Track and follow up on all estimates
• Maintain inventory spreadsheets
• Help with inventory
• Other related duties as assigned

Required skills/abilities

• Must be able to use Microsoft Excel
• Outlook
• Experience with estimating
• Know building codes
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Help with inventory and track all materials and equipment
• Time management

Education and experience

High school diploma, and must have residential and commercial experience
