A Brief OverviewThe Estimator uses computer technology and mathematical skill to prepare an estimation of the amount of material needed for the construction of a home in accordance with Company policies.

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hourWhat you will do

• Prepare accurate estimates for window materials.

• Generate detailed quotations and bid proposals within project deadlines.

• Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain current pricing.

• Assist salesmen as needed with customer orders and materials lists.

• Provide assistance to contractors as needed.

• Train sales representatives in estimating techniques.

• Assist sales staff with blueprint reading and construction procedures.

• Review actual vs. estimated materials on completion of each project.

• Control expenditures to conform to company budgetary requirements.

Experience Qualifications

• 1-3 years construction and building materials related experience required.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read blueprints and other technical materials.
• Ability to interpret building plans in diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
• Ability to operate networked computer systems and specialized software application programs and to instruct others in effective use of application software.
• Must have excellent oral communication skills and positive interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of measurements and basic math principles.
