ESY 4-Day Teaching Assistants Summer Program July 6, 2026 - August 6, 2026 4 days: Monday - Thursday 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma.
  • Ability and desire to work with young children with special needs.
  • Ability to take direction from and work under the supervision of one or more special education teachers.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Director of Student Services may find appropriate and acceptable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work in a small group and/or on a one-to-one basis with students as assigned by the teacher.
  • Willingness to be trained in specific behavioral techniques.
  • Attend in-service training sessions that pertain to special education.
  • Perform such other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the classroom teacher and/or the Extended School Year Coordinator.

SALARY Current FPS Teaching Assistants will be paid their 2025-26 regular rate of pay. External Candidates - $19.00/hr.
