Job Summary
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision, provide occupational therapy services to special education students in accordance with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. Assist in the case management of services to students, maintain records and documentation on students, perform related duties as assigned.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
E. Essential Duties

Upon written referral, evaluate students using standardized tests, observations, and/or clinically derived surveys in areas including:
• Sensory processing • Perceptual-motor skills • Motor coordination • Self-care • Muscle strength and range of motion • Postural reflexes • Need for adaptive devices and prostheses • Vocational skills E. based on evaluation results
Design treatment programs aimed at improving the above areas of function as they relate to a childs educational needs.
Develop goals and objectives as part of the childs IEP.
Provide direct therapy and/or consultation in order to meet these goals.
Provide in-service and training for instructional staff and parents.
Order specialized equipment for pupils use as appropriate.
Make adaptations for equipment and instructional/communication materials as appropriate.
Serve as liaison with medical community and other service providers such as California Childrens Service (CCS) as needed.
Comply with North Region SELPA and Albany USD Board Policies and Administrative Regulations.
Perform related duties as required.
