Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced ETRM Developer to develop, configure, maintain, and support Energy Trading & Risk Management applications, primarily Openlink Endur, along with Zema and custom applications. The developer will work closely with business analysts, infrastructure teams, vendors, and business users to deliver solutions supporting Natural Gas and Client trading operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and customize Openlink Endur solutions using OpenJVS/JVS, Java, and/or OpenComponents.
Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Support ETRM applications including Endur, Zema, and custom applications.
Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, debug code, and perform root-cause analysis.
Work across multiple projects and high-priority production issues simultaneously.
Coordinate with DBAs, infrastructure teams, vendors, and other application teams.
Follow development, source-control, testing, and production migration standards.
Participate in DevOps and CI/CD processes and maintain secure development and deployment practices.
Provide occasional off-hours production support as required.
Required Qualifications
5–7+ years of hands-on Openlink/ION Endur development experience.
Strong experience with OpenJVS/JVS and/or .NET and Openlink Endur customization.
Experience with Oracle DBMS and PL/SQL.
Strong Java development skills and familiarity with OpenComponents APIs.
Experience with SQL and relational databases, including Oracle and/or SQL Server.
Experience with Git, Subversion, or similar version-control systems.
Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Preferred Experience
Experience supporting commodity trading environments, particularly Natural Gas and Client.
Understanding of Front, Middle, and Back Office ETRM functions.
Experience with Natural Gas/Financial Deal Capture, Mark-to-Market, Risk Exposure, Gas Scheduling, Settlements, or Accounting.
Experience with Zema or other energy trading applications.
Understanding of energy markets and related regulatory requirements.
Work Arrangement
This is a 100% onsite position in Downtown Houston (77002). Candidates must be able to work onsite Monday–Friday.
