ETRM Business Analyst – Trading Middle Office

iSphere is looking for an ETRM professional who speaks both the language of the trading floor and the language of IT. If you've ever found yourself translating business needs into technical solutions (or vice versa), you'll feel right at home here.

This role sits in the middle of Trading, Risk, Operations, and IT, helping move initiatives from idea to execution. They're not looking for a traditional Project Manager or a hands-off Business Analyst. They want someone who understands how energy trading works, asks the right questions, gathers meaningful requirements, and keeps work moving without having to chase everyone down every day.

What they're really looking for:

• Strong hands-on ETRM experience
• Trading Middle Office background
• Solid understanding of energy trading processes and workflows
• Experience with risk metrics and valuation methodologies
• Ability to work directly with Trading, Risk, Operations, and IT teams
• Strong requirements gathering, process analysis, and documentation skills
• Experience coordinating projects and business initiatives without serving as a traditional Project Manager
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to bridge technical and business teams

Bonus points if you have experience with:

• Aligne ETRM

You'll spend your time working with business stakeholders to understand operational needs, translating those needs into functional requirements, helping prioritize initiatives, and partnering with technical teams to make sure solutions deliver real value. You'll also help remove roadblocks, facilitate discussions, and keep projects moving without needing to own a formal project plan.

The right person for this role is naturally curious. They don't just ask what the business wants—they ask why. They understand that successful ETRM projects aren't just about technology; they're about helping traders, risk teams, and operations work more efficiently and make better decisions.
