Wagenhaus, Inc. is seeking an experienced European Automotive Technician to join its team in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The shop offers a competitive starting range of $22-$35+ per flagged hour, with compensation determined by the technician's experience, skill level, diagnostic ability, and demonstrated capabilities.

Highly experienced B-Level and A-Level technicians are strongly encouraged to apply. For candidates whose experience and proven abilities warrant a higher rate, Wagenhaus is open to discussing compensation above the advertised range and considering competitive dealership-level pay.

The shop specializes primarily in European vehicles, with additional Asian vehicle work, and has been serving customers since 2007. Technicians work Monday through Friday in a newer, climate-controlled facility with five bays, five lifts, and an alignment rack. The family-owned shop also provides paid training, uniforms, Friday lunches, and toolbox relocation assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose drivability, electrical, mechanical, and general repair concerns on primarily European and Asian vehicles.

• Perform intermediate to advanced automotive diagnostics using shop diagnostic and scan equipment.

• Complete general automotive repairs ranging from routine maintenance and oil changes to major repairs and engine replacements.

• Perform digital vehicle inspections and document vehicle condition using the shop’s DVI process.

• Complete vehicle inspections, maintenance, component removal and replacement, and other assigned repair work.

• Use diagnostic equipment including Autel, Autologic, DrivePro, Snap-on, and Matco tools as appropriate for assigned work.

• Work with the shop foreman and technician team when additional technical guidance or assistance is needed.

• Maintain productivity consistent with an expected workload of approximately 40 flagged hours per week.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of automotive repair experience working with European and Asian vehicles REQUIRED.

• European automotive repair experience is required for this position.

• Intermediate to advanced automotive diagnostic ability, including drivability and electrical diagnostics.

• Ability to perform general repair, maintenance, inspections, and major mechanical repairs.

• Ability to perform digital vehicle inspections; candidates without prior DVI experience may be trained on the shop’s process.

• Experience using automotive scan tools and diagnostic equipment.

• Must provide the personal tools required to perform assigned automotive repair work.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive pay range of $22-$35+ per flagged hour, based on experience, skill level, diagnostic ability, and demonstrated performance.

• Compensation is not necessarily capped at the advertised range. Highly qualified B-Level and A-Level technicians may be considered for compensation above the listed range based on their experience and proven capabilities.

• The shop is open to discussing competitive dealership-level compensation with experienced technicians who can demonstrate the skill and productivity required for the position.

• Production bonus begins after 30 flagged hours: $50 at 30 hours, $100 at 40 hours, $150 at 50 hours, continuing in $50 increments for each additional 10 flagged hours.

• Commission-based percentage incentive on qualifying jobs sold.
