Job Description
JOB TITLE: EV Charging Systems Verification Engineer
LOCATION: x5 days on-site in Seattle, WA
TRAVEL: 10% travel in the area/domestic
HOURS: 40 hrs/week, no OT, Mon-Fri core hours
ABOUT THE TEAM: You'll join a team focused on ensuring the reliability and safety of the EV the company's charging infrastructure through systematic testing and validation. Our EV charging network is one of the largest in the world for private fleets. We value attention to detail, thorough documentation, and efficient test automation, working closely with vendors to maintain high standards across our charging network.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Integration and Testing:
- 5+ years of experience in electrical systems development, integration, and testing.
- Hands-on experience installing hardware like EV chargers, instrumentation, fuses - This includes wiring, commissioning, bolting
- Proficiency in requirements management from elicitation to verification in EV chargers, power
supplies, inverters and DC-DC converters.
- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical distribution systems, including developing testing procedures for DC and AC power distribution equipment.
Lab Space Maintenance:
- Keep the lab organized, clean, and configured for safe, efficient testing (workstation layout, cable management, storage).
- Enforce lab safety protocols, including electrical and high-voltage safety practices; ensure PPE, signage, and emergency equipment are present and current.
- Coordinate facility's needs (power, HVAC, bench space) and support lab buildout or
reconfiguration projects.
- Maintain compliance with relevant safety, environmental, and company standards.
- Manage subcontractor relationships and lead.
Test methodology:
- 5+ years of experience in developing test plan, execute the tests and generate report based on the test cases provided by engineering team and leadership.
- 2+ years of experience/proficiency with oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and data logging instruments.
- Developing/executing/documenting market-based and customer-specific System Integration Tests.
Programming and Data Analysis:
- Familiarity with Python and/or MATLAB for data parsing and visualization. Experience with scripting and programming tools to assist in analysis and automation of data collection.
Microsoft Office Suite:
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering a related field from an accredited institution.
- Master's degree in electrical engineering
This role requires someone who will:
- Willingness to travel 10% of the time to sites for executing tests and collect data.
- Execute thorough validation of third-party charging systems
- Maintain detailed testing records
- Automate repetitive test processes
