Join us in our next steps.\n \nJOB DESCRIPTION:\n \nPosition Title\n \nEVAC Assembler\n \nReports to \n \nProduction Supervisor\n \nSummary/Objective\n \nThis role is designed to support our fabrication department with various tasks and assembly's. Primary tasks would include checking fit up of tank covers, working closely with Quality Control, assisting with tracking inventory for EVAC, perform pressurized air testing, and assist with packaging of tanks for shipping. Other assembly tasks are also expected for the role.\n \nEssential Functions\n \nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\n\n Basic assembly and building of product.\n Ability to read and understand blueprints.\n Follow written procedural guidelines during the assembly process.\n Proper use of power and manual tools.\n Proper use of calibrated gauges, power and manual torquing devices.\n Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies.\n Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.\n Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions.\n Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree.\n \nSkills and Competencies\n\n Technical Capacity\n Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.\n Knowledge of generally accepted best practices and theory.\n Good mechanical skills\n Knowledge of shop use of measuring devices.\n Basic knowledge of quantitative methods/statistical procedures and graphic skills.\n \n\n Communication Proficiency\n Organization Skills\n Time Management\n \nSupervisory Responsibility\n \nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\n \nWork Environment:\n \nThe employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e. noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and reach with hands and arms. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry and education. New York Air Brake is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations. Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, employees (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, vision, and basic life and disability insurance. Employees also will be able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation leave and 40 hours of Personal Paid Absence every year. Employees will also enjoy 10 paid holidays, and 2 personal holidays throughout the calendar year, subject to relevant terms outlined in the employee handbook. 6 weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use. Requirements for these benefits will be controlled by applicable plan documents and policies.
