Evening Babysitter for Adults with Down Syndrome

We are seeking a compassionate and engaging individual to assist two adults with Down syndrome in Lenexa, KS, as they build an independent and joyful life within the community. This part-time position aims to establish a long-term relationship beyond merely completing tasks. Your role will include picking them up from work, assisting with dinner preparation, and supporting them in community activities, including laundry and meal planning. Your mission is to help them build friendships, explore the community, gain confidence, make choices, learn new skills, stay active, and enjoy life while maintaining independence. We are looking for someone who: - Enjoys mentoring others - Believes in independence and dignity for all - Is active in the community - Values conversation and consistency - Wants to make a genuine difference in someone's life - Is seeking a long-term role rather than temporary work Regular hours are Monday to Thursday from 4 PM to 8:30 PM, with potential weekend activities.
