POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking a Head Guard to oversee lifeguarding operations during our evening shift. This leadership role ensures safety, compliance, and high-quality service in the pool area.

Shift Start Times:

  • Tuesday – Friday: 4:00 PM – Close
  • Saturday: 12:00 PM – Close

Please note that candidates must be fully available and prepared to begin work at these times. REPORTS TO:

Director of Aquatics

PAY RANGE:

$20/hour - $23/hour

       ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPAY RANGE:

  • Supervise all pool activities during assigned shifts
  • Manage and delegate duties to lifeguarding staff
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and YMCA policies
  • Lead emergency response efforts, including first aid and rescue situations
  • Communicate effectively with members and staff
  • Maintain a clean and orderly pool deck
  • Handling of sensitive data and system input

       QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 17 years of age or older.
  • Must be a current certified lifeguard by American Red Cross.
  • Hold a current American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and dependable
  • Available to work during specified evening hours

SALARY/BENEFITS

  • Salary is competitive dependent upon experience.
