Job Title: Evening Staff Pharmacist
Pay: $63.00 – $70.00 per hour
Hours: Evening shift (4:00 PM – 12:00 AM), 8-hour shifts, rotating weekends

As an Evening Staff Pharmacist, your role is vital in ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You’ll collaborate with healthcare professionals and community stakeholders to provide excellent service and uphold high standards of patient safety.

What You’ll Do
As an Evening Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for
  • Review prescriptions from authorized prescribers for accuracy and determine required formulas and ingredients
  • Compound sterile and non-sterile medications following standard formulas and processes
  • Supervise pharmacy staff in tasks including mixing, packaging, labeling, and processing prescriptions
  • Ensure accuracy in prescription intake and oversee timely order fulfillment
  • Dispense medications and offer counseling to nursing staff on medication use
  • Guide physicians on medication therapy and educate nursing staff on health topics
  • Manage storage and record-keeping systems for pharmaceuticals
  • Foster open communication with customers, staff, and healthcare providers to improve service quality
  • Take ownership of pharmacy tasks, ensuring compliance with standards and policies
  • Provide on-call support during after-hours, weekends, and holidays
  • Assist in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate prescription records
  • Build strong relationships with physicians, residents, and facility administrators
  • Participate in staff training and development to promote pharmacy best practices
  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring adherence to company policies
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with an active MN Pharmacy License
  • Strong knowledge of sterile and non-sterile compounding and prescription verification
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain high standards of accuracy and patient care
  • Experience in a long-term care or closed-door pharmacy environment is preferred but not required
