Evening & Weekends Dog Walker

Urban Tailz is looking for pet lovers who share our values of reliability, communication, and consistency to join our team! Role Overview

As a part-time, W2 Daytime Dog Walker, you'll ensure our clients' dogs are happy, healthy, and well cared for during evening and weekend walks. What You'll Do

• Prepare the dogs in each household to outside with appropriate safety gear
• Lead 30-60 minute walks and active play sessions
• Administer food, water, or medication per client instructions.
• Clean up after pups outdoors and indoors as needed.
• Send updates/photos and log behavior or health notes.
• Build strong rapport with pets and their owners

Service Areas: Andersonville, Avondale, Bucktown, Gold Coast, Irving Park, Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Lincoln Square, Logan Square, Loop, North Center, Old Town, Ravenswood, River North, Roscoe Village, South Loop, Streeterville, West Loop, Wicker Park

We're Looking For:

• Availability: at least 3 weekday evenings 5pm-8pm or 6pm-8pm (required)
• Availability: Some availability on both Saturday & Sunday between 8am-8pm on at least 2 weekends per month (required)
• Reliable access to a vehicle is preferred but not required. Team members with vehicle access may be eligible for larger routes and additional hours based on client demand and route availability. Candidates without a vehicle will be considered for smaller, walkable routes.
• Reliable commute to Chicago service areas listed above.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. and a minimum age of 18. 
• Capable of withstanding all weather conditions outside and several hours of walking each day. 
• A smartphone with a data plan for communication and tracking walks. 
• Open to last-minute requests
• Willing to pick-up/ drop-off keys from the office; this could be multiple times throughout the week if necessary
• 3 Month Commitment Minimum

Pay & Perks

• Paid per walk (rate varies by visit length and location).
• Typical earnings: $100-$150 per week (~5-10 hours).
• PTO accrual and 401(k) eligibility after 6 months.
