Position: Part-time, Temporary Welding Instructor Job Description:The Clay County High School Career and Technical Center is seeking a qualified and experienced Welding Instructor to teach a community evening class. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction in both the theoretical and practical aspects of welding to adult students.Responsibilities include: Teaching various welding techniques and processes (e.g., SMAW, GMAW).Instructing students on safe practices and procedures in the welding lab.Providing hands-on guidance and demonstrations.Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.Ensuring the welding lab and equipment are maintained and operated safely. Qualifications:Proven subject matter knowledge, evidenced by a combination of training, experience, and/or credentials.Significant experience in the welding field, with a strong understanding of industry standards.AWS Certified Welder (or equivalent) is highly preferred.A Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Welding Educator (CWE) is a plus.Previous teaching or training experience is preferred but not required.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively teach and motivate adult learners of varying skill levels.Familiarity with state and local safety regulations. Terms of Employment:Two evenings per week, 6:00 PM â 8:00 PM.
