Event and Marketing Coordinator: Black Box Theatre PT
SALARY: $1,321.8/month ($25.32/hr) for a 12 hour per week schedule

DESCRIPTION:
The primary responsibilities for the Event Coordinator 2 at Edmonds College¿s Black Box Theatre is to provide event support for the theatre¿s varied live events and to develop and implement an effective marketing plan for our campus and surrounding community. Event supervision duties include overseeing staff and the theatre¿s technical operations, fostering positive client and community relations, and protecting the theatre assets. Marketing duties include creating and implementing a marketing plan that generates visibility, community engagement, and increased attendance to the Black Box Theatre at Edmonds College. Marketing will include digital, social media, print, websites, developing partnerships, leveraging existing marketing initiatives, and working with the Edmonds College marketing department. The position requires flexible evening and weekend hours related to BBT events and the college¿s quarterly academic schedules; maximum of 12 hours per week. This is a part-time, permanent, salaried position, reporting to the Director of the Black Box Theatre.

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is typically performed mainly in a theatre setting, and onsite/in-person. The work involves activities which occur both inside and outside the theater. Noise, vibrations, some physical hazards such as proximity to mechanical parts and electric current, atmospheric conditions such as low light, fumes, odors, dust, oils, and fluids are all part of the working environment. Some moderate lifting, moving of objects, standing for extended periods of time, climbing stairs/ladders, use of power equipment, and working at heights may be required.
WORK SCHEDULE:
This is a permanent part-time classified position for a 12 hours per week schedule. The work schedule is flexible but must be from 5AM to 5PM Monday through Friday. This position is considered an essential personnel position that is required to work when needed during events such as snow storms or emergencies related to Grounds issues even when the college is closed.
COMPENSATION:
Salary range 38. Beginning salary is $1,321.8/month ($25.32 /hr) for a 12 hour per week schedule, with progressive increases to $1,389.9. This position is not eligible for benefits. Paid PTO/Sick leave on an accrual basis.
