Job Summary: Spend your Friday evenings in one of D.C.'s most vibrant summer settings. The Pavilion Café, managed by Guest Services, is seeking energetic and reliable team members to support Jazz in the Garden, a highly attended seasonal concert series set in the Sculpture Garden.
This role is ideal for those looking to pick up consistent weekly evening hours in a fast-paced, social environment, while earning competitive hourly pay plus tips.
Job Description:
Schedule
Fridays 4:00 PM - 9:30PM
Seasonal role running May 22 through August 14 (based on concert schedule)
Work alongside a high-energy team during one of D.C.'s most popular summer events
Gain experience in hospitality, events, and guest service
Ideal for those seeking a steady, one-day-per-week commitment
Lively outdoor setting with music, food, and a dynamic crowd each week
About the Event Jazz in the Garden brings thousands of guests each week to enjoy live music, food, and beverages in a unique outdoor setting. Upcoming performances include:

(No concerts June 5 or July 3)
Position Overview Cashiers and attendants are cross-trained to support multiple areas including:
Register and cash handling
Beverage and food service
Guest interaction and service support
Maintaining clean and organized service areas
Key Responsibilities
Accurately process transactions and handle cash
Provide friendly, efficient service to a high volume of guests
Maintain a clean and organized workstation
Support team operations across service areas as needed
Uphold safety, sanitation, and service standards
Qualifications
Strong communication and customer service skills
Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Basic math and cash handling ability
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
Comfortable working in varying weather conditions
