The Company: NanBop Farm is a regenerative farm and outdoor event venue located in Cadillac, Michigan. Rooted in sustainability and community, we host a variety of events ranging from large-scale weddings to laid-back food truck nights and live music gatherings. All events take place in our stunning clear-top tent, with bar service centered around our one-of-a-kind BoxPop shipping container bar. Our beverage program features rotating selections of beer, wine, and cocktails - designed to complement the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere of the farm.

The Position: We're looking for energetic, professional bartenders to join our team for summer events at NanBop Farm. In our first event season (2025), we'll host a few weddings and several community events like food truck nights and live music.

As a bartender, you'll provide excellent customer service, prepare beverages responsibly, and follow all alcohol laws and safety standards.

This is a seasonal, on-call role with hours that vary based on our event schedule. While there are no guaranteed weekly hours, we're building a pool of reliable bartenders to call on as shifts arise.

We'll share event details ahead of time and schedule based on your availability and experience. Flexibility - especially for weekend and evening shifts - is a plus!
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests and provide a welcoming and professional experience.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages per the event menu.
  • Follow all local, state, and federal alcohol service regulations.
  • Set up, maintain, and clean the bar area before, during, and after service.
  • Handle cash and point-of-sale transactions accurately.
  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption and refuse service when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
  • Follow all company policies and health & safety standards.
  • Communicate clearly with event staff and management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the event.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum age: 21 years old
  • Prior bartending or customer service experience preferred
  • Valid alcohol service certification (e.g., TIPS or ServSafe) or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds
Work Conditions:
  • Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments
  • Occasional exposure to loud noise and crowded settings
  • Must maintain a neat, professional appearance
