EVENT BARTENDER | Year-Round / Variable Hours

 

Location: Off-Premise • Saint Paul, MN (events across the Twin Cities metro area)
Compensation: $17.00 per hour + tips
Schedule: 8–10-hour shifts • Weekday • Weekends • Year-Round / Variable Hours

From elegant weddings to high-energy corporate events, you’ll serve drinks, connect with guests, and help bring events to life across the Twin Cities metro. No two events are the same, and every shift brings a new environment, team, and experience.

 

ABOUT US
Hightop Hospitality staffs four catering brands: The Deco Catering, Kafe 421, Sterling Catering, and Green Mill Catering. We work in a wide variety of venues across the Twin Cities metro, so no two events are the same!

 

SEASONAL SCHEDULE
We operate a wide range of events throughout the year, with peak activity occurring from May through mid-October.

 

The Weekend Sprint: Consistency on Fridays and Saturdays is a must for our peak wedding season.

 

The Mid-Week Foundation: We are specifically looking for candidates with availability during the Monday–Thursday window to support our corporate and boutique social events.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Provide friendly and professional guest service
  • Handle cash and operate POS systems to process transactions accurately and securely
  • Check IDs and follow safe alcohol service guidelines
  • Assist with loading/unloading inventory and supplies at commissary kitchen
  • Set up and break down bar stations
  • Restock supplies throughout events
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace

ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

  • Delivery or drop-off/setup shifts
  • Pre-event inventory packing
  • Bar prep and drink batching

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 21+ preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • 1-2 years of bartender experience preferred
  • TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, or other responsible beverage service certification preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Strong communication and guest service skills
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Drive catering vehicles
