Event Coordinator

for the

Washington County Dixie Center

FULL TIME WITH BENEFITS

$21.26 per hour

Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? Are you passionate about customer service, organization, and bringing events to life? Washington County is seeking an Event Coordinator to join the team at the Dixie Center, where you'll help plan and execute conferences, trade shows, community events, and special gatherings that make a lasting impact. As an Event Coordinator, you'll play a key role in ensuring every event runs smoothly from setup to final teardown.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate event logistics and client requirements
  • Develop event layouts and setup diagrams
  • Arrange audiovisual equipment, furniture, security, and other event resources
  • Serve as the on-site event representative, resolving issues quickly and professionally
  • Monitor event operations to ensure exceptional customer experience
  • Supervise and support part-time event staff
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for guests and clients
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, vendors, and public safety personnel to deliver successful events.

What We're Looking For:

  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Calm under pressure and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable supervising staff and coordinating with multiple departments
  • Flexible and dependable, with the ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed
  • Able to lift up to 60 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors during events.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months of full-time experience in event coordination, stage management, or a related field
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain and maintain)
  • Utah Driver License preferred
