    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Responsibilities

    • Provide prompt, professional, and courteous customer service to guests, clients, and University staff.
    • Complete daily event setups, including tables, chairs, staging, furniture, podiums, and other event equipment, according to setup diagrams and event requirements.
    • Interpret room diagrams and accurately arrange event spaces to match scheduled layouts.
    • Assist with daily event operations, including unlocking meeting rooms and preparing spaces for scheduled events.
    • Maintain awareness of the daily event schedule and all related event information.
    • Assist with resetting and turning over event spaces between meetings and events in a timely manner.
    • Provide basic audio-visual and computer setup support for meetings and events as assigned.
    • Operate A/V equipment under supervision, including microphones, projectors, screens, and presentation equipment.
    • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance of event spaces, meeting rooms, and equipment areas.
    • Inspect setups and report any facility, equipment, or safety issues to supervisors or Event Crew Leads.
    • Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques (must be able to lift up to 50 pounds).
    • Work collaboratively with supervisors, Event Crew Leads, and fellow staff members to complete assignments efficiently.
    • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and commitment to completing tasks on time.
    • Maintain professional communication and teamwork throughout all shifts.
    • Represent the Event and Hospitality Department and Colorado Mesa University positively while interacting with guests and clients.
    • Adhere to dress code requirements, including staff polo, nametag, closed-toe shoes, and appropriate shorts or pants.
    • Maintain flexibility in scheduling, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and special events.
