Job Description
Event Designer/Creative will perform and be responsible for designing special event environments; including creative writing and collaborating with the entire sales team at Theme Party Productions.  Envision and assist in extraordinary event designs and theme ideas, create detailed proposals, ability to deliver high-end, innovative event environments for corporate, social, and fundraising events utilizing our extensive inventory of amazing props.

Responsibilities


  • Conceptualize, design, and express visual ideas in regards to event environments that are customer-focused and create memorable experiences for guests
  • Execute the physical design during event installations
  • Become familiar with all themes that the company offers, as well as props and inventory to better visualize and produce upcoming events
  • Create presentations and proposals that exude the “WOW” factor
  • Write and edit floorplans based on prop lists ensuring event layout is optimized
  • Design projects, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments with minimal direction
  • Research creative ideas and keep up with event design trends
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, customers and vendors
  • Assist on-site event staff during décor setup, styling, and placement
Desired Skills & Experience

  • Proven communication skills, both oral and written, including knowledge of correct English grammar, spelling, punctuation and usage
  • Exemplary customer satisfaction skills; communicates in a helpful, pleasant and informative manner to a wide variety of people, both in person and on the telephone
  • Creative and innovative techniques for performing assignments and proposal writing
  • Strong demonstrated organizational skills with ability to prioritize job functions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Illustrator, and PowerPoint
  • Participate with imaginative team associates, swiftly identify and resolve challenges
  • Participate in weekend or evening event work when required (overtime and double-time paid per policy)
  • This candidate must be highly imaginative, possess creative written skills, and most importantly be passionate about the business
Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years’ experience in the Special Events / Hospitality industry / Theatre or related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree
